Gas Monitoring

Indoor air quality can be adversely affected by various potentially hazardous gases. IECL has experts in Gas Monitoring to assist you.

There is a vast array of potentially hazardous gasses. Some of the more common gases that may be in the indoor environment include:

  • Carbon monoxide (CO)
  • Carbon Dioxide (CO₂)
  • Sulphur Dioxide (SO₂)
  • Formaldehyde (HCHO)
  • Nitrous Oxide (NO)
  • Methane (CH₄)
  • Volatile Organic Compounds

IECL uses instrumentation suitable for measuring and analysing indoor air quality (IAQ) in order to determine the potential exposure within your property. Good IAQ can be established based upon an assessment of the type and concentration of gases within the environment. Additional measurements of relative humidity, temperature and particulate counts may provide a comprehensive overview of the IAQ within your premises.

Real time data is gathered during the site inspection and the results are interpreted and provided within a report, with appropriate recommendations. Context is very important for investigations and gas monitoring so please provide as much information as possible on the cause of concern and the details surrounding the request.
