Welding Fume Testing

**Please note that this service is currently unavailable due to COVID-19**

Welding is known to cause contamination of air by production of particulates (welding fumes). Welding fumes can be fine (2.5um) to ultrafine (100nm) and are small enough to penetrate deep into the lungs. The process of welding can produce toxic gases including nitrous gases and carbon monoxide.

Hazardous fumes from welding should be mitigated through control measures such as good ventilation systems and areas. IECL is able conduct welding fume testing and undertake tests to assess the concentration of gases and particulates.
